ETIENNE PAUL BOTES

Etienne is best known as the inventor of the Vortex Indicator, a technical trend indicator that was officially published in 2010. The Vortex Indicator is now widely used by the financial industry and available on most trading platforms. It is also used by news agencies such as Bloomberg, CNBC, The Wall Street Journal and Yahoo Finance.

Etienne has over 27 years’ experience in investment management and the development of quantitative strategies.

He co-founded a Swiss CTA investment manager called Vortex before relocating to the United Kingdom to provide investment advisory services for multi-manager hedge fund strategies, leading to the invention of the proprietary Alpha-Elite Allocation Engine.

Etienne holds a postgraduate Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree in Economics.

JENS-CHRISTIAN CAPPELØRN

Christian is a seasoned investor with a focus on private equity and stock market investments, particularly specialising in special situations.

Previously, as the Managing Partner at Insights International, his management consultancy specialising in strategy and innovation, Christian guided numerous companies and governments around the world in strategic development. His extensive client list included prominent names such as Coca-Cola, Unilever, General Motors, Apple, LEGO, Volvo, SONY, Carlsberg, Pernod Ricard, LVMH, Nestlé, Virgin, Warner, Mastercard and McKinsey & Co.

With two Master's degrees - an MSc in Economics and Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School, and an MSc in Sociology from the University of Copenhagen - Christian leverages his unique combination of skills as both an economist and sociologist in the financial markets.

In addition to his consultancy work and investment activities, Christian has shared his expertise through teaching and lecturing roles at Copenhagen Business School and various international business schools and universities.

Currently based in Monaco, he is actively engaged in board work, primarily in connection with private equity investments.

VICTORIA ROBERTS

Victoria has over 20 years’ experience in investment management and began her career at the index tracker arm of the Old Mutual Investment Group in South Africa.

She was subsequently Portfolio Manager at Vortex, a Swiss CTA investment manager, before moving to the United Kingdom.
Here she provided investment advisory services for multi-manager hedge fund strategies, leading to the invention of the proprietary Alpha-Elite Allocation Engine.

Victoria holds a postgraduate Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree in Financial Management for which she was awarded the University's Senate Medal for best performance.
In 2018, she received an award from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) for top performance in Global Financial Compliance.
